Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you should need to cancel or change the date or time of a lesson, Abandon your L Plates requires a minimum of 48 hours notice, so that we can re-book the Instructor's time. Should you be unable to keep to your booked appointment and give less than 48 hours notice, then your lesson fee will still be payable and will NOT be refunded if prepaid. You will need to telephone the office number 01293 536466 if you cannot make your lesson for what ever reason, and you do not see your driving instructor before you need to cancel your lesson. If your cancellation is out of the office hours then please leave a message with your full name and the name of your driving instructor along with the date and time of your lesson.

If upon arrival for a lesson, your Abandon your L Plates Instructor deems that a pupil is unfit to undertake the lesson due to the influence of drugs or alcohol, then the Instructor will NOT continue with the lesson, however the pupil will be liable for the full cost of the duration of the lesson period which they had booked. 

Abandon your L Plates drving school has the right to refuse to book any further lessons for those pupils who have cancelled more than three lessons regardless of whether a driving test has been booked or not.

All lessons are booked with the full intention of them being delivered by your Abandon your L plates  Instructor, however, in the unlikely event that it becomes necessary for us to cancel a lesson, we will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible and we will always seek to offer you an alternative instructor, or a different time or date that is suitable for you. Should this not be possible, then upon your request, the lesson fee (if prepaid) will be refunded to you in full.

If you have booked an Intensive Course, Abandon your L plates Driving School requires 14 days notice of cancellation in order for you to receive a full refund. Should you give less than 14 days notice, but more than 7 days notice, then 50% of the fee paid will be refunded to you. In the event that you give less than 7 days notice of cancellation, then your course fee will NOT be refunded.

Terms and Conditions

Any pupil wishing to learn to drive with Abandon your L Plates must be the holder of a valid provisional UK licence or a  valid full licence from another country outside of the Uk. Your instructor will need to see both parts of your licence and not a copy on the day of your first driving lesson.

Abandon your L Plates Driving school cannot be held repsonsible for any costs incurred as a result of the DSA cancelling any practical or theory test.

It is the pupil's responsibility to ensure that their eyesight has been checked by a professional optician, and that the correct eye wear is used, if necessary, for all lessons and the driving test. We will not be held responsible for any driving tests not conducted by the DSA for ineffective eye-wear/failure of the eyesight test.
